Remember the Golden Rule of sight reading practice:
Always practice consistently with music that is 2-3 levels below your current playing level!
Sight reading practice is different than learning a piece of music to performance level.

Das Ballet
Das Ballet by Daniel Gottlob Turk.
Level 1 (Elementary)
This piece is an early elementary, classical piece and it is great practice for reading in D major (2 sharps) and ledger line notes in the middle position.
In May
In May by Franz Behr
Level 1 (Elementary)
This classical piece has a simple AABA structure, and repeating LH broken patterns. Be careful of the clef that you are reading in and make sure to give yourself a count-in before you start. Try to keep the pace going even if you make a mistake, training your eyes to see (and ears to hear) what’s coming up.
